Hi I just connected to the PLC for the first time (serial - New PLC C0-01DD1-D) using V2 software. As expected, it asked me to update the firmware from 1.4 to 2.0. I ran through the process and it reported a failure in updating the first time. i re-ran the update and it was successful, but every time I connect I get the message "The CPU is in the firmware update mode because it does not have any firmware. Please download the firmware into the CPU module " How should I proceed with correcting this. I have tried loading V2 in again and it succeeded but I am presented with the same message.

Try loading a ladder program with just an end statement. I haven't experienced this issue, but maybe it is giving the wrong error message when the actual error is that there is no ladder program for the FW to run.

Make sure that your power supply is large enough and is supplying the proper voltage. The minimum recommended power supply is 24VDC @ 0.5A.

Thanks guys
Power supply is the larger Click Power Supply.
Also have an analog and digital input module connected.
There is no program loaded as its a new PLC. You cant load one in because its stopping and saying that its in firmware upgrade mode which I can't bypass. Maybe the software is stuck here and its reporting the wrong thing and its not the PLC?
The err light is on, but since there is no logic in the PLC that may be normal
Its reporting the firmware though (See image attached)

Have you actually checked the voltage with a meter?
Also be sure that the Power Supply and PLC is grounded.

Yes, 24VDC, but will double check (sanity check) in case something changed.
PS is grounded on AC side. DC is not tied to ground/Earth. Will set that up later and test again.
My other Click does not have a grounded DC and has no issues
Thanks

If that all checks out, you will probably need to contact technical support to try to get to the bottom of the issue.

Have you wired anything to the I/O connector? Port 3?
Maybe something could be incorrectly connected there.

Nothing on port 2 or 3.
Two I/O modules are connected, an analog input and digital input.
I have now connected the ground and removed the I/O modules. I'll pull all I/O cables as well.
There is no battery installed yet either.
Could upgrading the firmware with no program be the issue. It was a virgin PLC.
I have sent an e-mail to tech support in parallel to this thread. Just waiting for the reply now.

Is there anyone from AD here? I have sent in a request for tech support on the 2/10 and no one has replied yet.
I have re-submitted an inquiry on tech support again hoping for some response this time.
