Industrial IoT has enabled a new surge of manufacturing productivity with Industry 4.0. Do-more BRX PLCs are stackable programmable logic controllers that integrate traditional industrial automation technologies and IoT technologies to achieve Industry 4.0 compliance.

InfluxDB is an open-source time-series data platform used to build real-time applications for analytics, IoT and cloud-native services. InfluxDB can be in the cloud, on an enterprise server, or locally on a PC. In this example, we will use the HTTP Plugin for Telegraf to poll the BRX PLC for data. This isn’t the only way to retrieve data from BRX; however, the REST API allow access to system-defined parameters and user-defined parameters using human readable strings. Other options include Modbus and MQTT.
