Code CR1100 scanner via RS232 not sending to Click Plus

I configured the PLC and scanner identically on Port 2: ASCII, 9600 baud, odd parity, stop bit 1, comm data 8.

The receiving data setup is set to 3 characters being sent to TXT1 to TXT3.

I have the Receive command contacted by C1 and then the output status flags: Receive to C2 and Success to C3. I go into Data View to turn C1 on prior to scanning.

When I scan a QR code (3 digit number), I don't get anything.

All the cables are through AD. Even have the purchased RS232 to RJ12. I don't really see the Rx light flash on the PLC and I had C2 and C3 going to a SET to see if the Receive was receiving or success but neither latch.

What else am I missing? Figure it shouldn't be this difficult. I did an RMA to swap the reader just in case and the new one is doing the same. Also swapped with a spare Click Plus with no change.

Did you follow the supplemental programming manual for the scanner?

    • rbmgf7 (Customer)

Yes. The camera settings match the PLC.

@rbmgf7 (Customer) What parts are you using to connect the scanner to the Click plc? Are you using the built in RJ12 or a C2-DCM module?
