Has anyone had issues with the C-More EA9 v6.73 connecting to an HMI using Windows 11?
I have a Windows 11 laptop that I use for maintenance purposes. I've installed the latest version that says it's Windows 11 Compatible. I can open, view, and edit a program, but I can't connect to the HMI via USB or network. I have allowed the C-More Programming Software through my firewall and it still won't connect. I've just completed an uninstall and re-install of the software and I'm at my wits end. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
Though you have allowed it, I suggest temporarily disabling your firewall (private and public) just to make sure it isn't blocking the connection. Also, before opening the software, right click on the cmore sw icon and Run as Administrator.
I turned the Firewall off and was able to connect to the HMI. For some reason Windows 11 wasn't recognizing my inbound firewall rule to allow C-more software through when I created the rule in the Windows Defender Firewall GUI. I had to create the rule in the Group Policy and then Windows recognized it.
