BX-DM1E-10ED23-D Dropping Out of Run Mode
I currently have about 12 BX-DM1E-10ED23-D in the field that need to have their mode switches in TERM for remote updates. Unfortunately, most of them seem to drop out of run mode somewhat regularly. I haven't identified the root cause but know others in the forum have run across this as well.
I'd like to script a solution that checks the mode and each processor and changes it to run mode if it isn't. Has anyone else come up with anything? I need to deploy a lot more but need to find a different product if I can't find a solution. Using Do-More Designer to go online with each one individually to do that is getting really old. :)

We have had this problem, the PLC dropping out of run mode, many times. It was very frustrating! The plant rep had to manually put the PLC back into run mode using the Stop-Term-Run switch, only for it to happen again. But this was not the fault of the PLC. (I know they like to blame the PLC) In all cases, it happened in cases where we were not included in the installation, and the installation was at fault. We found the dropping out of run mode was either power issues and/or heat issues. We began shipping all units with UPS units and temperature-controlled, sealed-from-outside-air coolers, with requirements for a dedicated circuit. And the problems went away.
We have DC UPSs on ours and most are in cool locations but we're still experiencing the problem.
When online In Designer, check PLC->System Information..., Event Logs tab, System Messages
What are the things you are seeing before each of these events? There's a Save to File option if you want to post it here.
The first event in the list was me changing the mode back to RUN. I was offline and away from work by the time the last two events occurred.
I have an AutoHotKey script that automates DMLoader to deploy the latest program, but that shouldn't (key word: SHOULDN'T) have been doing anything since all the PLCs are up to date. I'm going to disable it for the time being to see if the behavior changes.
I bet that's it, because if you did not update the PLC, someone else did (see two events that occurred while you were "offline"). It appears DmLoader is what is switching the PLC to Program mode "randomly", unless there is another physical person that did S816 (20 hours after you switched it back to RUN)?
Here's hoping! It definitely wasn't anyone else. I'm the only one here programming them. I'm still considering the P2CDS-622 for the rest of the panels. 😀
