edwin.hernandez (Customer) asked a question.
I'm having trouble communicating with a Sure Servo2 Ethernet IP card using Sysmac Studio.
- I've already configured the IP addresses in the same subnets: 192.168.250.10 (Sure Servo2 Ethernet Card) and 192.168.250.1 (Omron N1XP2)
- I’ve created a Custom EDS following a YouTube tutorial by Automation Direct
- I’ve created a data table with an array of 32 words
- I’ve configured the input (106) and output (107) instances to communicate with the card in Sysmac Studio
I can’t get it to communicate. Previously, I set up a network with a CJ2 that uses memory instead of tags, and I was able to establish communication with the driver
I hope someone can help me out
Best regards
Based on your Connection Setup image from Sysmac Studio, you have the Input (T->O, FromSureServo) and the Output (O->T, ToSureServo) connection points swapped. Both the generated EDS file and the manual should indicate the following:
The EDS file also includes 192 bytes of Configuration Data (based on the Input and Output selections you've made) that is sent to the servo's Configuration Assembly (Instance 131) when establishing the I/O Messaging connection. I am not sure how this is handled in the Sysmac Studio environment, but I do not see any images here that account for this connection and data.
