August 2026 - Gefran GRM-H Series Power Controllers

Introducing the Gefran GRM-H series SCR power controllers! These controllers convert analog signals (0–10 V, 4–20 mA), PWM duty-cycle outputs, potentiometer, and discrete ON/OFF commands from PLCs and PID controllers into precise SCR-based control of AC power for industrial heating applications.

Gefran Power Controllers

  • These ultra-compact controllers are available in 10 A, 25 A, 50 A, and 75 A models rated for 480 VAC (60-530 VAC working range).

  • They provide advanced current limiting and continuous load monitoring to improve heater protection and process stability.

  • Specialized control functions, including soft-start ramping and closed-loop power regulation, reduce startup inrush currents and maintain consistent energy delivery despite line voltage fluctuations and load resistance changes caused by temperature or aging.

  • Select models offer Modbus RTU (RS-485) communication for networked system integration and centralized control. All models include an integrated, correctly-sized heatsink, eliminating the need for separate heatsink selection or sourcing.

  • Control modes include burst firing with optimized cycle time, fixed cycle time, half-single-cycle, and phase angle firing, providing flexible performance across a wide range of heating applications.

  • Configuration is supported via the free NFC (Near Field Communication) smartphone app for no-power, no-PC programming directly on the factory floor. The free GF_eXpress PC software connects via USB-TTL cable (GRM-H-USB-CBL accessory) or RS-485 and supports parameter duplication and sharing.
