I have a Sure servo2 and a productivity 1000 plc. Joging in PR mode
I would like to jog the sure servo2 that is using PR mode from my HMI and productivity 1000 plc. is there a way to do this? I can do it from the keypad but I would like to put a function on my HMI
I am fairly sure you would want to use dual mode PR-S (mode 08) in the servo in order to be able to jog from an HMI. It isnt a true jog but rather running at a slow speed in the same way jog would be doing.
Use a button (like a "Jog Mode" button) on the HMI to enable some logic in the PLC that changes the servo from PR to S mode. This isnt anything complicated, if the servo is set to dual mode properly you can swap from PR to S with a simple DI trigger. When in your Jog Mode from the HMI, that enables two new buttons on the HMI for jog fwd and jog rev, which are again simple DIs that say move in speed mode forward direction or reverse direction. Set your motor velocity used for S mode to whatever you want your jog speed to be.
When you turn off the Jog Mode button on the HMI have logic in the PLC that changes the servo back to PR mode (The DI tht does the mode switch turns off).
