Todd Dice (Customer) asked a question.

Is this normal behavior when entering a UDI into a task that is part of a structure?

For fun, I thought I'd create timer UDIs with the characteristics of AB's Logix TON and TOF. In addition, I added the UDI as a tag in the database with a structure so I could have multiple of the same type.

I note when coding the task using the UDI, I had to check the box "Use Structure" to access the tag I wanted but had to deselect the box so I could edit the parameter that activated the timer.

Is this normal?

I downloaded the "Productivity PROtips: Working with UDIs" and didn't see this mentioned.

If you are using a tag that is not part of the structure then yes this is normal operation.
