Productivity 1000 web server
I'm having problems with the web server on a P-550.
The ability to connect is very random. When it fails to connect I'm getting "the connection was reset"
When it does connect about half the time it wants me to login ( even with the password option unchecked). The other half it will take me to the index.
Once I manage to get to the index screen all bets are off when clicking the download link.
It could reset the connection, go to the login page, or pull up the file list.
Any suggestions?
What version of software & firmware version are running on the CPU?
Are you trying to connect remotely or locally?
Is this over a wireless, cell modem, or hard wired network?
P-550 version 1.2.8.30
Productivity Suite 3.7.0.10
Network:
P-550 > Unmanged Stride switch > Main switch > Fiber modem / router > Wifi to Laptop
Or
P-550 > Unmanged Stride switch > Main switch > Fiber modem / router > Wired to Laptop
It seems to like LAN over Wifi a little more, but not very much.
It seems to like Chrome ( 84.0.4147.105) over Firefox (79.0). If I refresh a couple of times I can usually get the web server page I clicked on in Chrome to load. I've given the PLC processor IP in both Firefox and Chrome permissions.
I can connect to the PLC and monitor the logic without any issues.
Ping is 1 to 2ms
Have you tried directly connecting to the cpu and do you see same result?
Are you using the default port 80 assigned for the web server function? Try another port?
You mentioned pinging the cpu and getting a response. Have you tried unplugging the cpu and pinging? Just to verify if there is anything else on the network with the same IP address.
I think the main switch might be failing. It's plenty old to begin with, so this will make for a good reason to retire it.
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction
Hello, I'm knew to using the productivity webserver functions. We have a system that was set up by a really smart guy and then he quit. That leaves me to figure out what he did. That being said, we have a P1-M622 that is connected to our net work. We have an rfid reader that scans the rfid and is supposed to write that plus some testing values to the webserver. I'm not sure where this data is stored or if it can be deleted or if there is a max limit of data before it stops writing the data.
If someone could give a little insight into this, I would greatly appreciate it!
Hey there! It looks like this question might be better suited for its own thread — could you start a new one? That way it gets the attention it deserves. Thanks!
