Hello,
This all started with me trying to setup an email client and I think my issue is that my ethernet settings are not updating to the panel. In the help section it said IP Address settings would be overwritten when transferring the project. This is not happening.
Not having the DNS information show up on the info screen was what set me in this direction. I can change the IP at the panel, or set it to use DHCP, then transfer my project with it set to a static IP that is different and nothing changes
I am transferring my project over ethernet and suspected it has to do with the "enable IP address to be changed from software" being checked or not checked at one time. The help section says the IP cannot be changed over ethernet "if not selected". This leads to my next problem.
USB I was never able to get this panel connected using USB. I was going to try using USB to transfer and trouble shoot my way around this and remembered the other issue I found myself ignoring. I have the driver installed, It shows up in devices in windows. It's a bit frustrating.
Do I need to use the special USB A to B cable AD sells?
I did a memory clear and factory reset. Checked the box to allow software changes to ethernet. transferred the project and still no change. It seems the only way I can change the IP address is from the panel.
Any help you guys can offer is greatly appreciated.

Hi Andrew,
The email client can get frustrating. Here is a post that will go over this option using Gmail. (Less secured apps must be selected.)

I had a similar problem with a connection using the USB. It turned out to be the cable. You do not need the USB cable from AD, but it is guaranteed to work. I ended up using a USB cable from Blackberry.

I do have less secure apps selected. I tried running it through outlook too. I did come across your tutorial as well as a bunch of your others too. Great work.
One of the other posts mentioned the DNS info not updating and I have to think this is where I am caught up.
I will be ordering one of those cables and see where that takes me.

Yes, the DNS has tripped me up as well a few times. I usually set this for the google DNS servers.

Well, I figured out the USB issue. in the download file there are two different application files. I installed the other of the two and it ended up being a second instance of the c-more software. the original will still not connect to USB, but the new one does. Not sure what to say there.
Still will not transfer the ethernet settings to the panel. Any thoughts on this?

On the Panel network menu and the Ethernet Port tab, there is a little check box "Save setting to Project", is it checked?

I actually ended up calling tech support and they could not explain it. We tried a bunch of different things before they decided to switch it out for a different one. Time will tell, I'm interested to know what was going on with it.
