Firmware update failed

I have this problem updating v2.6 to v3.00. update stops in first block on 80%.

With my Dell laptop everything works fine, but with my HP laptop i get the code: 'GUI-022 firmware update failed'.

What can be the reason?

Regards, Hans

What model part # click are you trying to update firmware on?

  • ADC Community_02 (Automationdirect.com)

What connection method are you using to attempt the firmware upgrade?

    Ethernet or USB?

    • HansCH2O (Customer)

I use the ethernet connection for the communication between the pc's and the PLC

Is each PC connected to the same switch on the same network? Or are these at two different locations? Home and Office?

If they are different, network topology for each setup would be necessary.

Have you tried rebooting the PC not working well? Power cycled the switch, the PLC?

I reboot the PC’s and changed the PLC with one new out of the box. Still the problem occurs.

Change the network patch cables (between the laptops) and the HP laptop direct to the PLC (no switch used) still the problem occurs

    Same location (office)

Have you tried using a USB cable with the HP laptop to see if you can update firmware?

      • HansCH2O (Customer)

I will try this in the following days, thanks for now.
